DESERT BLOOM PLASTIC SURGERY

Fractora is now available in
St. George at Oasis Aesthetics

Fractora technology is designed to provide results beyond microneedling with 2mm penetration of microneedles while simultaneously delivering radiofrequency (RF) energy to improve the skin’s appearance. While microneedling can provide great results with wrinkles, acne scarring, or traumatic wounds, the Fractora is designed to go one step further and in addition to treating everything microneedling does, it also treats sun damage, poor pigmentation/texture, broken veins, and active acne. Together with Morpheus 8 we are able to treat the deep skin and now using Fractora we can treat more superficial blemishes.

Frequently asked questions

At Oasis Aesthetics we offer various treatments for skin rejuvenation.  More aggressive treatments are possible with medium to deep chemical peels or fractionated CO2 lasers, but these treatments will always have associated downtime.  Fractora offers improvement with minimal downtime.  Fractora offers improvement with minimal downtime and unlike more aggressive treatments has little risk of post inflammatory pigmentation (PIH) after treatment.  This makes treating people with all skin types safe.

It is common to have a few areas of pin point bleeding during the procedure that last only a few seconds.  Redness to the skin can last 24 hours.  Due to the many tiny holes in the skin we ask you to hold off using makeup for 48 hours in the treated areas and always use caution in the sun.

To achieve your best results, you’ll need a series of up to three sessions which are spaced four to six weeks apart.  Some patients choose to maintain their results with yearly treatments.

Yes.  The RF technology is known to be very safe for all pigments of skin.  The risk of hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin) has been found to be very low with RF technology.

Morpheus 8 has needle penetration up to 4 mm and is designed to treat deeper conditions and fullness under the skin, while Fractora uses RF technology to treat more superficial concerns.  One is not better than the other, they just treat different conditions.

We specialize in acne treatments here at Oasis Aesthetics and Fractora is one tool for the best treatment for your skin.  We will recommend a daily skin care regime that will be tailored to your needs by our Master Aestheticians and Dr. Wallin.  Often additional treatments such as chemical peels, LED light therapy, or prescription medications can be used for optimal results.
