WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME FOR MICRONEEDLING?

This procedure is a great treatment anytime when you have signs of aging, acne scars, or sun spots and would like to use a safe, effective treatment to remodel the collagen of the face and body however, you should not plan big events for a few days after because you likely will have a faint pink glow to your skin.

WHY WOULD
I NEED MICRONEEDLING?

Microneedling is used to treat acne scars, sun spots, reduce the appearance of stretch marks. It can prevent signs of aging and improve skin texture.

How is Microneedling done?

Before the treatment your Master Aesthetician will discuss the benefits and risk and take pictures to be able to visualize the improvement of your skin.

During the microneedling treatment, the area of treatment will be cleansed, and a topical anesthetic will be placed for approximately 20 minutes. Once you are numb and feels comfortable your Licensed Master Aesthetician will place a special gel substance which acts as a barrier between your skin and the microneedling tool. This ensures a smooth surface to work on while protecting the skin against abrasions.

Each area will be treated three times in different directions to assure you get an even and full treatment. SkinFuse is placed on your skin to protect you after the treatment and you will go home with products to care for yourself during the healing stages. We like to see back our clients in one month to take pictures and evaluate your results. Your skin will continue to improve for about six months after the treatment as collagen is created.

What Is The Recovery Process After Microneedling Like?

We ask that you always wash your hands before touching the treatment area after a microneedling treatment. Using sterile gauze and cool water, pat treated area. You will be given product to be used at home for comfort and moisture. After 24 hours a gentle cleanser can be used for the following 3 days. No other skin care products will be necessary.  After the first 72 hours you will resume your normal skin care regimen. It is important to note that studies have shown that Vitamin A products have been shown to enhance microneedling results.

You should avoid exercising, sweating, heat and prolonged sun exposure for 3 days following the treatment to allow your skin time to heal. We recommend you wear sunscreen with 35 SPF or higher daily and wear a hat when going outside. It is normal to have redness, itching and a tight feeling after the procedure. Many people say it feels as though they have a mild sunburn.

Avoid any further treatment until your follow up visit in 4 weeks post procedure.
