LATISSE®
Enhance Your Lashes with LATISSE
How Does LATISSE® Work?
LATISSE contains the active ingredient bimatoprost, initially used for glaucoma treatment, which surprisingly stimulated eyelash growth as a side effect. It works by increasing the percentage of eyelashes in the growth phase and extending the duration of this phase. Applied nightly to the upper eyelid margin, LATISSE helps you achieve more beautiful lashes over time.
Side Effects of LATISSE®
Common side effects include slight redness or itchiness around the eyes. If you have a history of glaucoma, eye infections, or plan to become pregnant, please consult with your doctor before using LATISSE. Safety for breastfeeding women has not been studied.
WILL LATISSE® CHANGE MY EYE COLOR?
When applied to the eyeball as a drop for glaucoma, bimatoprost has been found to increase melanin in darker eyes (brown and hazy eyes). Blue eyes do not contain melanin and are unlikely to darken with treatment. , similar to bimatoprost, has a product warning that eye color may darken with treatment, although the chance of this is rare. When this happens, it will permanently darken the eye color. Eyelid skin darkening may also occur but is usually reversible if the product is discontinued.
How Long Will LATISSE® Results Last?
Results can last as long as you continue using LATISSE. Once you stop, your lashes will gradually return to their pre-treatment appearance over several weeks.
